Location Zoom Webinar
Join CARN for an interactive online session bringing together the community and local research. For our inaugural presentation, PhD students from Deakin University will talk about their research in mental and physical health. These interactive online sessions are a great way for the community to hear about new and emerging research and for researchers to connect with the community. The session will cover many aspects of mental and physical health and will encourage the community to discuss and contribute to research!

October is Mental Health Month, and we will be hearing from two amazing up-and-coming young researchers:

Anna Wrobel: Bipolar Disorder, Trauma and Treatment

“It is not the bruises on the body that hurt. It is the wounds of the heart and the scars on the mind” Aisha Mirza.

Join PhD student Anna Wrobel as she presents her research on the relationship between bipolar disorder, trauma and treatment outcomes.

Samantha Russell: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Bipolar Disorder (BD) and Medication

People experiencing BD also have higher rates of PTSD, which has impacts on medication management. Join PhD student Samantha Russell as she presents her program that aims to improve outcomes and quality of life amongst people with comorbid BD and PSTD.
