Like hearing yarns and stories?
Do you think you are never too old to learn?
Are you mature-aged and eager to learn more about mental health?
Would you like to learn how to quieten your mind, so you worry less?

Our team of Jules Haddock from The Anxious Bird and Debbie Walker from Seaire Yoga understand the impact of isolation and loneliness in contributing to the marked increase of mental illness experienced by those in the ageing population.

Learning about and adopting the theories associated with psychosocial connectivity are paramount to all of our mental health. So, join us at one, some or all of our weekly events, focusing on the following:
2 October: Anxiety
9 October: Depression
16 October: Music Therapy
23 October: Substance Use
30 October: Living a Life of Hope

Debbie will guide you through a few techniques to connect in with your breath and your body so you feel relaxed and reenergised by the end of the session.

The project will provide a significant increase in the conversational confidence and literacy around mental illness, that will provide a platform for connection, the ability to reach out to others for support when needed as well as confidence in, and ability to support others.

Hear a story of a Hope from a person with lived experience and much more at our weekly sessions to:
• Learn a little about mental illness
• Listen to fascinating guest speakers
• Engage in a mindful led activity
